At the tender age of 12, Hamo Donigian embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of jewelry craftsmanship. His initiation into the art began as an apprentice at a local jewelry store, where his primary tasks included making coffee and cleaning windows. However, the master jewelers soon recognized a spark of curiosity and talent in young Hamo. Intrigued by their intricate work, they generously allowed him to delve into their projects, setting the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion.
Fueling his ambition, Hamo sought to broaden his expertise and, a few years later, enrolled in courses specializing in diamond setting and hand engraving. Dedicated years of learning under the guidance of seasoned masters cultivated his skills, enabling him to turn his dream into reality. In 2002, Hamo proudly established Cabochon Settings in Southfield, MI, realizing his vision of owning a workshop dedicated to the artistry of jewelry.
